Tungsten heavy alloy nozzles are precision components fabricated from tungsten-based alloys, designed to regulate the direction, flow rate, and velocity of fluids—gases or liquids. These nozzles are classified as high-density, high-specific-gravity components with precisely engineered flow channels. Typically composed of 90% to 97% tungsten powder, they utilize Ni-Fe, Ni-Cu, or Ni-Co alloys as binder phases. Manufactured through advanced powder metallurgy techniques—including injection molding and compression molding—these components integrate the inherent advantages of tungsten, such as high hardness, thermal stability, wear resistance, and compact volume characteristics, with the ductility and machinability imparted by the metallic binder phase.

The resulting material exhibits high density and exceptional hardness, along with superior flexural strength, enabling it to maintain stable mechanical properties and dimensional integrity under elevated temperatures. It demonstrates outstanding resistance to abrasive wear and cavitation erosion, showing minimal degradation even under high-velocity fluid flow containing solid particulates, thereby significantly extending service life. Additionally, the low coefficient of thermal expansion ensures long-term dimensional stability of both geometric features and internal flow-channel profiles during prolonged exposure to high-temperature environments.

Structurally, tungsten alloy nozzles are available in diverse configurations and can be customized according to specific application requirements. For instance, in mineral flotation equipment, designs include conical-straight air gun nozzles and cylindrical injector nozzles with conical orifices used in jet flotation machines.

In terms of performance, these nozzles offer excellent wear resistance, preserving orifice diameter and shape consistency over time despite continuous exposure to high-speed fluid impingement or abrasive media. This minimizes variations in flow rate and spray angle caused by erosion. They also possess strong corrosion resistance, exhibiting resilience against aggressive chemical environments, including acids and alkalis, making them suitable for use in highly corrosive industrial settings.

Tungsten alloy nozzles find extensive applications across multiple industries, including energy and petrochemicals, aerospace, surface engineering and remanufacturing, electronics and semiconductors, and medical technology.
